Subject: Way to cope with stress and Mental illnesses due to Social Media

This would be relevant to teens and children that use social media and that are therefore effected by it. Sometimes social media can be very overwhelming and it can cause so much stress, trying to fit in and trying to be liked. Often times adolescents fake their identity on social media to fit in with everyone else. Other times, it is very intimidating, trying to keep up and teens often to start having very low self-esteem due to not feeling like they are good enough.

 

Due to feedback from this website, going on such websites and having people to speak to about what you are going through benefits 91% of the teens who visit the website. Whether you find someone who is going through what you are going through right now, or someone who as dealt with it and is better now. Having someone to go through stress with you helps you feel a little more at ease.
Different ways to cope with stress and depression:
Talk with someone you confide in
• Keep In mind that there is so much to someone other than what they are posting
• Pay attention to how you feel, if it is impacting you negatively, then close it and spend quality time with a loved one.
• Always acknowledge how you feel and don’t try to hide it or ignore it.
